Open Weekends
The Hamilton Model Engineers host an Open Weekend every year on the third full weekend of March. This is a fantastic opportunity to invite enthusiasts from all around the country to our club for the weekend, to enjoy running trains and some comradery. For the public, it's a once-a-year chance to see visiting locomotives and models from around the country gather in Hamilton, and enjoy a truly unique train ride!

Giving Back to our Community
Last year in 2024 we ran our Christmas charity night run event which saw many people donating kids toys clothing and even food to families that were in need around Christmas time it was very successful and we're looking to run some more charity events this year as well.
Night Runs
We're still looking at doing more night runs this year and will confirm some dates soon. Our night runs offer a unique opportunity to run trains at night we have a number of food trucks that attend these events and we're looking forward to running some more this year in 2025.
